We asked the owner what made her buy the property?;

I bought the property as I wanted somewhere affordable to live on my own and to get on the property ladder. I loved the location and the potential for the area it felt like a safe investment in my future!

What have you enjoyed most about living here?;

The location is amazing and seeing the complex grow and develop is so lovely and my flat is right in the heart of it all but still quiet and peaceful!! I loved having a large balcony for socialising with friends in summer, being so close to the river for exercise and the community sense here on the Royal Arsenal complex with all the amenities!! The heatingand electric bills are also really cheap and the flat is very well insulated! My neighbours are lovely and everyone looks out for each other!

Why are you moving

Buying the flat has allowed me to boost my deposit to buy a house, and I have been now offered a new job out of London so now is the right time to move for me, although there will be so much that I will miss.

The ‘Estimated total monthly cost’ for a Shared Ownership property consists of three separate elements added together:

  • Rent: this is charged on the share you do not own and is usually payable to a housing association (rent is not generally payable on shared equity schemes)
  • Service Charge: covers maintenance costs for the property as a whole and communal areas
  • Mortgage: Share to Buy ltd are specialist Shared Ownership mortgage brokers and we use a database of daily updated mortgage rates to work out the lowest rate available for the deposit amount shown, and then generate an estimated monthly payment on a 25 year capital repayment basis.

NB: this mortgage estimate is not confirmation that you can obtain a mortgage and you will also need to satisfy the requirements of the relevant mortgage lender. Nor is this a guarantee that in practice you would be able to apply for such a rate, and nor is this a recommendation that the rate used would be the best product for you.
