Older Persons Shared Ownership

Older Persons Shared Ownership is for buyers aged 55 and over, helping those who are otherwise unable to purchase a home suitable for their needs. The scheme is similar to Shared Ownership and enables you to buy a share of 10% to 75% of the home.

Shared Equity

Shared Equity is a scheme which enables buyers to purchase an approved new-build home with assistance from a housing provider in the form of an equity loan. You will pay this back over time, and the equity loan will be interest-free for a set period.

Discount Market Sale

Discount Market Sale is a low-cost homeownership product where a new-build property is purchased at a discounted price. This discount is usually around 20% to help low and middle-income earners who live in the local area.

Discount Full Ownership

Discount Full Ownership by Pocket Living is a housing scheme which allows you to purchase 100% of a property at a discounted rate of at least 20% compared to local market prices.

Deposit Unlock

Deposit Unlock is a private housing scheme, available from participating developers and lenders. You would pay a 5% deposit on a new-build property, with the home builder insuring the mortgage to help you get a better loan-to-value ratio.

First Homes

First Homes is a discount scheme which helps local first time buyers and key workers purchase a property in areas of high demand, with developers offering discounts of 30% to 50% of the market value of the home.

London Living Rent

London Living Rent is an affordable housing option for middle-income Londoners, with homes offering below-market value rents and minimum three-year tenancies. The savings from lower rental costs help you to save towards a deposit, and you can go on to make an offer to purchase the property during the tenancy.

Rent to Buy

Rent to Buy enables aspiring homeowners to live in a home on an Intermediate Rent basis, with the property being let at a subsidised rate of 20% and a fixed rate of inflation. These lower rental costs can help you save towards your deposit throughout your tenancy.

Intermediate Rent

Intermediate Rent is a scheme aimed at helping buyers who plan to save a deposit and purchase a property within five years, giving you the option to rent a new or refurbished home at a subsidised rate.

The Own New Rate Reducer is a private scheme available to first time buyers and home movers. It works by reducing the rate on a standard mortgage for a set initial period, allowing you to purchase 100% of a property while benefiting from reduced mortgage costs upfront and lower monthly payments

HOLD

For buyers who have a disability and rely on benefits for income, you can secure a specialist interest-only mortgage and part-buy a home, purchasing a share between 25% and 75%. This will either be through Shared Ownership or on the open market with the help of the HOLD scheme.
