Selling a property with Share to Buy
Services for Registered Providers
If you are a housing association or developer selling properties through Shared Ownership, Help to Buy and other affordable home ownership schemes, we offer a market leading solution:
- New build: Our national property portal – devoted exclusively to affordable housing – has delivered great results for many Registered Providers across England, both large and small, for the sale of new build Shared Ownership developments. Our strong Google search results, combined with a competitive fee structure, has consistently delivered high quality leads, no matter what the size of the development or how many units remain.
- Resales: Our existing resale service to Registered Providers offers a cost effective solution to advertise individual homes for sale within the nomination period.

Services for Private Sellers
As well as working alongside Registered Providers, we also work with private sellers who are looking to sell their current Shared Ownership home.
For a one-off fee we can list your Shared Ownership property on our website for up to six months, no matter where in England your property is located.
Please note that we only offer a listing service; we do not take calls for you or act as an estate agent. Interested customers will be prompted to call you directly on the number you provide when registering your listing.

One of the unique features of our property portal is that it displays clear and transparent affordability information on live listings, e.g. showing customers the likely minimum deposit they will need to put down for a property.
Share to Buy also has a well established mortgage service, including a Shared Ownership price comparison calculator, and we use this expertise to link our properties with up to date product data. We are able to give robust estimates of potential monthly costs which is very popular with our customers who want to understand Shared Ownership and all its cost implications.
Finally, for every mortgage we arrange, we also donate £10 to a homelessness charity.
