London Home Show Sponsors: Meet Southern Housing New Homes

Shared Ownership homes across the capital

Following the quieter summer months, September typically signals a busy time for the property market as avid movers consider their first or next steps on the property ladder, whether first time buyers looking to put down roots in the capital for the first time, or second steppers searching for extra space in a more rural setting.

As the clock ticks down to the ever popular London Home Show, Southern Housing New Homes is pleased to unveil a selection of exciting new developments across the capital.

In Southall, West Acre Square is launching in September and provides a collection of studio, one and two bedroom Shared Ownership apartments across two blocks in one of the UK’s most biodiverse developments known as The Green Quarter. Buyers can enjoy 13 acres of parkland with 2,500 new trees planted, as well as new community and retail spaces that are helping to form one of London’s most exciting regeneration stories. Local amenities are on the doorstep and transport connections are excellent, with the newly unveiled Southall Crossrail station nearby meaning you can reach Central London in just 17-minutes.

Across the map in vibrant East London, the newly launched Arcadia View offers an exciting collection of one, two and three bedroom apartments available with Shared Ownership, situated in the sought-after neighbourhood of Clapton in Hackney. Surrounded by the green spaces of Millfields Park, Hackney Marshes and with a tennis court right on your doorstep, the development offers a relaxing haven, while still being close to all of the buzz that makes Hackney so popular.

In South London, Southern Housing New Homes will soon be launching a range of developments in the borough of Southwark, an area close to thriving London Bridge and the City which has become increasingly sought after in recent years. With various new homes available with Shared Ownership by the New Kent Road, near the transformation of Elephant and Castle, and in the quieter pockets around the leafy Burgess Park, buyers will be sure to find something to suit their needs.

Why Shared Ownership?

With Shared Ownership you finance a share you can afford, typically between 25% and 75%, while paying subsidised rent to the housing provider on the remainder. The key advantage is that you only need a mortgage for the share you buy, which means you require a much smaller deposit compared to buying on the open market. You can decorate as you please, sell your share if and when you want, or buy more shares over time (known as staircasing) up to full ownership.

Our commitment to quality and sustainability

We are committed to building high quality energy efficient, sustainable homes that are fit for the future. We all face our own challenges with the cost of living crisis, and most of our new homes benefit from EPC ratings of B or above which mean reduced running costs for owners compared to older homes.

We can’t wait to see you at The London Home Show – come and find us at stand 10 or contact us in the meantime at shnewhomes.co.uk.
