Our spacious, but cosy two bedroom flat lies on the outskirts of Letchworth, providing a perfect combination of quiet and calming rural landscapes on our doorstep whilst being a five minute drive, or half an hour walk from the town centre and all it has to offer.
The flat is situated on a lovely estate, home to young couples, families and older couples often passing us on dog walks. We back onto gorgeous fields and many walking/bicycle trails taking you off for miles into the countryside, connecting us to surrounding villages and towns. There are many local parks and Letchworth town centre is known for its outdoor pool and childs splash park and paddling pool.
A 10 minute walk offers a large retail park, home to a variety of supermarkets, homeware stores, drive-thru fast food chains and home improvement stores. If you head the opposite direction, you will find a lovely village pub, our favourite garden centre for miles around and some convenience stores including a post office and pharmacy.


The short journey into Letchworth town centre offers everything you could ask for. Alongside the usual supermarkets and franchise companies including healthcare, clothing, homeware and bargain shops, a variety of small, local businesses also offer their services such as cafes and hairdressers.


The town centre also offers a variety of chain and independent hotels, restaurants, bars, pubs which all open out onto the open space of the centre in the Summer, offering live music, creating a social space and inviting atmosphere. It is home to a handful of gyms and leisure centres- including indoor and outdoor pools, a cinema and organised exercise groups such as running club.


A huge perk of the location we live in is Letchworth Garden City train station being only a 5 minute drive or half an hour walk away, which is easily accessible through the many taxi companies operating in the area including the modern apps Uber and Bolt. Letchworth station provides a direct line to London Kings Cross in as little as 40 minutes or to Cambridge in 30 minutes in the opposite direction.
A 5 minute drive away is the popular town of Baldock, again offering a range of local amenities, including another main train line. Between Baldock andLetchworth, there are a large number of schools and nurseries, one being just a 30 second walk from the flat and the rest within walking distance or a veryshort drive and accessible via public transport. Many main roads are easily accessible within a short distance, including the A1.


The flat has one allocated parking space in the private car park, situated in a quiet area off the side of the building. If more than one space is required, there is always plenty of free space just outside the building which has always kept our vehicles safe. The car park is also home to a private communal bin area shared by the residents of the building. At the front of the building is a bike store and letter box, as well as a communal garden area, regularly maintained by the local council. Inside the building, the communal areas are cleaned weekly.


The second floor flat opens up into a large entrance hall, home to three decently sized cupboards we use as utility and storage spaces. Both bedrooms arevery generously sized, the main bedroom being large enough for a queen sized bed, many storage units and lots of free space, including a walk in wardrobe.The kitchen/living area offers a huge, open space, with a modern style kitchen area featuring two velux windows letting in lots of natural light.
